Record Breaking Broadway Flea Market & Grand Auction
Broadway fans and volunteers raised a record-breaking $1,237,179 at the 37th Broadway Flea Market & Grand Auction on Sunday, October 1, 2023.
The Shubert Organization became the second-highest fundraiser of 55 tables, earning $34,746 for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. These funds provide lifesaving medication, healthy meals, counseling and emergency assistance in all 50 states, Puerto Rico and Washington, D.C.
Fans visited the Shubert table for theatrical treasures like the candles from The Phantom of the Opera, Audra McDonald’s scarf from Ohio State Murders, and the guts from Grey House. The table also featured opening night gifts, Tony voter packages, props, scenic pieces, Playbills and window cards from over 100 shows.
The day concluded with the Grand Auction in Times Square where fans bid on a private tour of The Shubert Archive and complimentary house seats.
