THE NEW OFFICIAL WEBSITE OF

THE SHUBERT ORGANIZATION

The Shubert Organization, Broadway’s largest theatre owner and operator, is proud to be a founding member of the .nyc initiative. Every year, over 12 million people from around the world come to the heart of New York City to see a Broadway show. Broadway’s economic impact on the City’s economy totals over 11 billion dollars annually and supports over 87,000 jobs for residents of all five boroughs. The new official website of The Shubert Organization, shubert.nyc, will extend the digital outreach of New York City and Broadway.

What is .nyc?

.nyc is part of a new class of generic top-level domains (gTLDs) – well known gTLDs include .com, .net and .org - expanding the domain name system (DNS). In one of the biggest expansions of the Internet to date, nearly 2,000 new generic top-level domains have been approved for use, including .nyc which is owned and operated by the City of New York.

This initiative provides businesses, organizations, and individuals with more options for creating custom web addresses that reflect their unique identities and needs. A select number of city, country, and regional domains are a part of this expansion; which includes offering New Yorkers one of the first citywide domains.

The .nyc domain is the official web address for New Yorkers and now it’s available for the millions of people and businesses within the five boroughs to Own It.
